Overview of Department:

“Pediatric dentistry is age defined specialty that provides both primary and comprehensive, preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence including those with special health care needs.” Pediatric dentists are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through adolescence upto 13 years. They have the experience and qualifications to care for a child's teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood. The department infrastructure is build in child friendly manner with cartoons displayed on walls and partitions. Department also encompasses separate play area with the toys, sliders, sea saw etc,  audio-visual aids (TV, DVD) as well as a separate area for Parent Counseling. This dedicated areas helps the child to cope up with the anxiety, fear & apprehension during dental treatment, as the child is involved in playing and other activities. The department has a unique set up where every child enjoys the treatment.

VISION :

• As we are based in Rural area, our focus is on Preventive pediatric dentistry which includes & Early diagnosis & Prompt treatment & to reduce the incidence of dental diseases in pediatric age group.

• To educate the parents about oral Hygiene and spreading awareness about importance of healthy diet in having good Oral & Overall health.

• To instil a positive attitude in paediatric patients regarding oral health care.

• To make our students better clinicians & human being to empathy towards understanding the child.
