Overview of Department:

Oral Medicine is the specialty of dentistry that is concerned with the oral healthcare of medically compromised patients and with the diagnosis and non-surgical management of medically related disorders or conditions involving the oral and maxillofacial region. Oral and maxillofacial radiology is the branch of dentistry and the discipline of radiology is concerned with the analysis and production of images and data produced by all modalities of radiant energy that are used for the diagnosis and management of diseases and conditions of the oral and maxillofacial region. 4000 new patients and about 2000 radiographs taken in a month. Specializes in providing diagnosis and management of precancerous lesions, oral mucosal disorders, Orofacial pain, TMJ disorders, salivary gland disorders, and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. Provides various radiological imaging ranging from conventional intra-oral and panoramic radiography to skull and TMJ imaging using a conventional film, as well as Radiovisiography (RVG).

  • Free Prescription and distribution of medicine to patients with low  certified.

  • Both Intra oral & Extra oral radiographic machine are AERB.

  • Periodic monitoring of radiation exposure is carried out. (BARC) devices.Intra oral and extra oral imaging is done by wearing protective.

  • Special care is given to pregnant women while imaging.
